Inspiration: Houndstooth

Today I am inspired by Houndstooth.  Lucky for me, when I searched it on Etsy it came up with 1,607 products for me to choose from!  These were some of my favorites, though I only made it through eight pages.  First we have this adorable bow from Hopelessly Devoted which is attached to a little comb for easy placement in your hair.  So cute.  Next we have a fool proof plant made of fabric!  I love the modern and fun look of this potted plant made by Jane Joss.  I'm not a fan of silk plants, but I am now a fan of Houndstooth plants.  Then we have this super cute little wallet by hu.made.  I love the look of this, and it's eco friendly.  Bonus!  Last but not least, these tiny little baby loafers made by Ivory and Moss.  How cute would these be on your little one's feet?  I'm feeling very inspired.
 

Inspiration: The Ocean

I love this photo.  I took this after Tropical Storm Danny moved out of the South Carolina coast.  It was so rainy and stormy all day, then just as the sun was setting the clouds broke and the sky turned lovely shades of red and orange.  This is the spot I come to when I need to clear my head or calm my soul.  There is just something about the ocean that can do that to you.

Inspiration: Dreamy Art

I found this artwork on Etsy and I really love it.  It's a mixed media photo, made of a print of an original photograph with hand painted details.  To me, I feel like it's what you see when you have a memory.  You know, those images in your head never seem really clear, they always seem a bit dreamy looking.  So seeing these images on a canvas, makes me have fuzzy feelings inside.  I feel like I'm looking right at someones memories.  They are made by Labokoff and you can find them on Etsy.   

Inspiration: Flea Market Finds

It's a beautiful sunny Saturday (at least where I am in South Carolina!), and I think everyone should get out and enjoy the weather!  Here's a little inspiration for you, some darling flea market finds!  So go find a flea market, or tag sale, or even a thrift store and do yourself a little bargain hunting!

Inspiration: Vintage Post

     

I found these darling vintage post cards in Southern Living magazine.  They are made by Ardour Bookbinding B'Zaar.  I love anything vintage, and these are just adorable.  My favorite are the envelopes that are hand-folded from full-colour enlargements of vintage correspondence, with elegant penmanship and charming postal markings.  They also have three vintage stamps already on the envelope, ready for you to mail them to your pal!

Welcome to Darling Dear!  I am so excited for this first post.  When I was making the banner for this blog, I was so inspired by everything over at Anthropologie.  As you will see in the future, I am a huge fan of all their darling things.  Pop on over to their site, and I promise you will be inspired!
